ITEM: 1994 Kawasaki KLR650. Just under < 17K miles. Teal, purple and white. Includes fitted full-size bike cover (not a blue Wal-Mart tarp!). Runs excellent.

PRICE & TERMS:$1500
. This is several hundred less than I paid for it. If you come to see it, to ride it, bring your motorcycle license. No checks, casheirs' checks, or money orders. Cash only! You pick it up and ride away. No delivery available (no truck). No 419 international sales...

Pictures of the bike are HERE.
I am not the person standing next to the bike in the one photo. Please note that the clear plastic on the ground is NOT the full-size cover.

TITLE:
State of Ohio, clear, legal, and in my name.

LOCATION:
The bike is always covered and on my back patio at my residence (no garage) in Kettering, Ohio. We're about 40 minutes from the I-275/I-75 interchange. From Cincinnati, go I-75 North to Exit 43 (I-675). Take Exit 7 Wilmington Pike. Turn left at end of ramp and you are 10 minutes away from me at that point. We're about a 1/4 mile from the intersection of Dorothy Lane and Wilmington Pike.

HISTORY: I bought it from Ray Pope at Cycle-Analyst.com at the end of November, 2004 and it had 16023 miles on the odometer. Previous owner was some fellow in Michigan who Ray bought it from for resale. Bike includes full size cover that I bought for it. It has 169XX miles on it now.

CARE: I have put less than 1000 miles on it since I bought it. Vista Kawasaki did an oil change and put brake shoes on it in January of 2005. I have paperwork for that. I put a new shift lever on it and it shifts better than when I bought it. I believe that Ray mentioned that the chain and sprockets were new, but I'm not 100% sure. They look unworn, so that's probably accurate.

DETAILS:
Runs great, has never stranded me and it has always started for me, even in 25-degee F weather. I was riding on weekends thru the winter as the weather would permit (on the street only).

ODDS & ENDS: Neutral light goes on and off when it wants to, sometimes when in neutral.
There is one small dent under the 'K' in the 'KLR' sticker on the left side of the tank that I didn't notice until about a month ago.
The clutch lever has a slightly tighter curl to it.
There is slight weather cracking on the front tire. Other than that, the tires are fine, with very good tread, and they are tube-type, I just wanted to point that out.
Also, the kickstand/starter cancel safety switch has been disabled by some previous owner.
The original tool kit tools are gone, but the container is there and ready for you to fill with tools, beef jerky strips, or WMDs.
I am aware of no other modifications to this bike.

REASON FOR SELLING:
(Mid-life crisis is over) & Money, I'm rescuing a VW Vanagon that has been in our family for 21 years. My Dad sold it, unbelievably, to a salvage yard. It was in the line for the crusher. Fortunately, one of the yard people said it ran well, so they parked it in order to part it out. I bought it from the salvage yard and I need money for the repairs in order to make it safe to drive (no brakes currently). It's at the VW specialist now.

SOLD! 1994 Kawasaki KLR650 dual-sport bike

Sold to a fellow from Vermont who owns his own body shop. They can fix that ding in the tank now. They just rolled out of here with it in the back of a Ford V10 pickup. They only have about 800+ miles to go!

Thank you all to those who checked it out and called about it.
