This is true...and another reason why I didn't like the 01-02 GSXR's...they had lots of tranny problems with the 01 1k's as well. But as Twisty said, Suzuki did step up, admit the problem and fix it for free :bonk:twisty said:Did you forget about the bad handling and tranny problems the R1 had this year? Did you forget that Yam is not recalling for these problems? When Suzuki had a problem with their trans in the 2001 750 they recalled ALL of them and swapped the whole trans and replaced the timing chain for free. Then they fixed the problem and released the bike july of 2001(the "Y" model). Now thats real company.
I think the R1 or Gixxer either one is perfect for your back...Once you give either a twist of the wrist, you will be too busy to think about your back!!!desmo900rider said:I would think if you are already mentioning your back, then the R1 or Gixxer would be an awful choice...
No one asked you shytneck.. Shut your damn piehole...twisty said:Well I would get a GSXR just because they are much better than any Yam will ever be.
Get the 05.. The 04 had problems with the front fork bearings or so the GSXR King Twisty tries to tell me.. Regardless never buy the first model year of any new car or bike - get the 05..Speedpup said:Went to the dealer today and he said 9500 04 and 10500 05 he didn't even know if there was a difference :bonk: nothing like knowing you product.
