It is great all around. You have to program it a bit but other than that it is easy to put in and I don't see why it wouldn't last longer than the bike itself.

i have one and it is awesome. they've improved upon the original so you no longer have to sodder anything. now you can just plug-in-play and even choose between a red or blue light display to match your guages.
i would definitely say that if you are thinking about it, then go ahead and treat yourself.

For a few more $$ than the Acumen (okay at lot more $$) the Veypor is a gear indicator, spedo, tach, and I think it makes coffee too?

Plus that heads up display is freakin cool !

We've installed both the DataTool and Acumen gear indicators on customer's bikes and it seems like the Acumen has more of a delay in displaying the gears than the DataTool does. Either way, both are excellent accessories and I will be installing one on my bike soon as well.

I never used the Data Tool but was just explaining the reason why the delay to start with.

I was thinking someone has to have made a product with a HUD for bikes... and I had seen something similar on Speed a long time ago... but not with this many features! Kick-ass!
