I am new to riding, and looking to get new gears and all advice are appreciated.

I want to be protected as much as I possible. What you guys thinks about the following gears:

1- Boots: Sidi Vertrebra 2 Air Boot http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=17657&department=115&division=1

2- Jacket: Moto GP Apex Leather Jacket http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=15890&department=112&division=1

3- pants: Moto GP Apex Leather Pant http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=15901

4- helmet Nolan N100E Vintage Helmet http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=19054&department=101&division=1

5- gloves: not decied yet, any recomendations?

I know most of the previous gears are for tracks, but I beleive that highways are more dangrous than tracks. Safty for me is number one, looks is number two, and price is number three

thanks

I have seen a few MotoGP suits and jackets, including a Roo suit and they were ok. Didn't seem to be A* quality but not bad.

Gloves... I just got a set of A* SP1..full length and they are Freakin awesome..

Firstly...before GasMan beats me here...go to the local dealers and TRY EVERTHING ON...Forget about names or brands or prices...gear won't work if it doesn't fit...When you have found equipment that fits properly, then start looking for deals...

Darn it GasMan... :cursin: you beat me again...

Get some riding pants that aren't leather as well, if you can. There will be days where wearing the leather pants just isn't gonna happen. I have a pair of the Joe Rocket Atomic jeans (they are cargo pants though, dunno why they are called jeans) ... They are great riding pants. Thick material, armored knees and hips, plenty of zippered pockets. A lot of places have them pretty cheap right now too. I know I saw em on the clearance rack at Rec Leisure the other day (a local gear store) for $49.
