I have started up a computer business. I have so far gotten my name out just by word of mouth from past customers I have helped. I am right now in the process of making a ton of flyers that I can put into mailboxes and doorsteps. Already called the areas and got the permits I needed for that. :dthumb:

I am looking for any ideas anyone might have that I can do as well besides the flyers to get my name out. I would like to do some advertising but I have called and they get pretty pricey. Any ideas would be great. :dthumb:

Just another medium..how about business ad on your car.

People I know in real estate sales have those magnetic business advertisements on their cars...surprisingly they say those actually generate some business leads for them and wont leave marks on your cars like sticker graphics do.:dthumb:

My friend in Maryland has his own fiberglass business. He got his name out word of mouth and visiting boat marinas all the time. He paid a value pack company to send out flyers in the mail for boat winterizations. He said it was a lot of money, but in the long run it paid it self off.

You can try to put your company name in the phone book.

Yeah my friend in maryland has those for his snow plow service too.

Signs on cars are great for business. + you can claim it on your taxes.

Hit your Wall-Marts and electronics store parking lots with those fliers on the windshields.
