What is the process to get a title for a bike? There is a guy selling a 98 Katana for a pretty decent price, but he doesnt have the title from the guy he bought it from.

Is it worth the hassle purchasing this bike?

Is the bike registered to them? :scratch: If so just get a lost title application and wait.
If they do not have the title (bike registered to them)

Get the Vin #. Then call/go to local DMV and do a title search for leans or reported stolen. After that You will know if you want to pursue the bike. The DMV can give you the forums to finish the job.

Make sure there isn't something else going on that is fishy. Then go from there. The DMV is very use to this type of thing!
