I have been out of riding for about 15 years. I have always had dirt bikes, mostly for off road fun with some street riding.

I am interested in a bike for pleasure only. Meaning, no more off road, no racing. I just want something for cruising.

Any recommendations or info is appreciated for all of you. Thanks....

Comfort does matter but I really don't like the "Goldwing" look if you know what I mean.

Actually it has been more than 15 years .....damn. 40's........

i would say if you want comfort then dont get anything that ends in R. now i dont think mine is that uncomfortable but older ppl do. my stepfater got a zx12r and he like it and i think it is more comfortable just like the Busa but then those are alot of bike. maybe a naked bike?

Try the VFR-800 from Honda... it's really comfortable... and good for touring

:withstupi VFR would definitely be something good to look at, as well as something likne the Yamaha FZ6 or FZ1. Or even more towards the touring side, something along the lines of the FJR1300.

Not to bias, but go for a Katana750. Very sporty looking but built for cruising. Handle bars are raised for a more upright ride, and definatly has some get up and go. Alittle heavier than what you'll find people on here ride. Gives me a little deterent(sp)from picking the wheel up. Good luck on your search. Oh yeah and a Katana is very good on the check book.

If you are going to buy used, take a look at a 1993-2002 Kawasaki ZX-11. A great do everything street bike. You could ride with cruisers, sport bikes, tourers, or sport tourers. Add a tank bag and you can go to the store, or add saddlebags and go cross-country.
