In NC, you have to take a test for your permit, which only lasts for a year. You then can take your road test at a seperate time if you wish. If you've passed the MSF course, you're given a waiver for the road test. That way, when you pass your test for your permit, you're handed your license instead.
It's how I did, and I highly recommend it. I took the permit test just based on the knowledge from the 2 1/2 day MSF course, and passed. :readng:
Once again proving the MSF class is worth every penny and a few more.
