Anyone else challenged by these? In the summer, the crack filler/tar is really scary to hit if your leaning.
Oh trust me, I know first hand about that tar crap, bad enough that it can take a back wheel from under you, :cursin: , let alone the front wheel!!! That shiet should be outlawed..and it looks ugly too!! PA roads are in bad enuff shape without trying to put a bandaid on the gaping craters in the highway

Have to love the groved pavement. I've hit it before at break neck speeds on other bikes and the front end starts its shake. Not cool. but on my 9R I solved all of that with my Scotts steering stabalizer.

Tar in a crack at full lean...OUCH! That will pucker up the back hole! I hate when that happens!!!! :D

Speaking of hitting things at lean... I hit one of those glued on reflectors and it took me down. :cursin:

are you talking about one that fell off a car or something, or the ones that are actually in the pavement, marking the lanes? I hate those things!!!

Glued to the pavement, marking a fire hydrant.
I gotcha now..Yeah they definately suck..who's dumb arse idea was it to put "a slippery when wet substance" on the roads anyways, its bad enough the pavement gets slick when it rains, so why add to it..if you cant see a firehydrant the way they are, you should be driving on the roads... :bash:

We don't have those reflectors in the streets or those "Botts Dots" dividing lanes here in Colorado because the snowplows would tear them off. But we do have those "tar snakes". If you ride before the sun heats them up you are OK, but after they have been warmed by the sun the tar is very slippery.

I learned about them on about my third ride. I always rode in the right portion of lane and my 'trainer' in the left. I fell back and into line pretty quick after rolling over a few of those damn things.
