:cursin: Buddy just came back from lunch just shakin. Said he just high-sided his bike. Guess this guy two cars ahead decided he wanted to bust a U on a crowded street from the middle lane going about 40, slammed on his break and whipped around. He said all he saw was the car in front of him hit his brakes and the rear end lift way up (guess he hit'em real hard). My buddy said he grabbed as much brake as he could, somehow the front wheel turned and he went over the top. Tore the side of his bike up pretty good, thank goodness I talked him into buying a jacket and some gloves a couple weeks ago. He had some road rash on his legs, his boots and arm of his jacket pretty scuffed up and the palm of his glove just ripped apart...but reletively unscathed besides.
What really pissed me off was the guy finished the U-turn, looked at him getting up then just took off. Thank goodness the guy between him got the dudes license plate, tho I'm not sure if it will matter.
Poor guy has only been riding 2 months.
