Hey peoples...have just started my kid's bike and he is overseas in NAVY IRAQ / KUWAIT...have the ' SEL ' light that came on after a few minutes of idle...need to know what that is...dummy me huh ?? Just can't seem to recall what this is and why it lit up ... Thanks in advance (ex-motocrosser-open class) Skip:dthumb:

First off :welcome: Second, I moved your thread to the tech section.

Have you checked the owners manual?

We have lots of GSXR owners here that will be able to help you!

Owner's Manual...

That was my first thot...but, however, since its my kids bike and he is in Kuwait...I cannot find that 'lil thingy and now worried about a YELLOW light since it came on after AWHILE and can't figure out what it is..thanks Skip

Thanks GAS MAN...I bet...I feel like such a dummy that I so far, have not been able to find an answer on my own, ..but then again...being a Charger fan, I'm too obsessed with watching Eli Manning and the GIANTS go down in FLAMES...hooodoggies !! Skip

Ok guys (and girls...) I just found this website yesterday...and I guessed that I wud find my answers here...I also sent out this request to the All Wheel Junkies website too...seems there mite be some that have bikes...I know of two myself..(one is my ohter son.. not the one with GSXR 600 Telefonica) and I got two " bites "..these guys are grrreat... 10 SEL : Service Engine Light ( SEL ) AND 2) Stale gas : well, its been in there without a start-up or any additional gas for over four (4) months...so Gas Man and Jeeps...thanks for your response and help Skip (ex-open calss motocrosser and wannna be Suzuki SV purchaser):twfrox:

I got a possible answer for you!

The SEL is not a warning light its used to adjust the trip meter or to set the time. I don't think its different on the 600 but on the 1000 its a button so it doesn't light up. It may read SEL on the display but it doesn't appear as a warning light. I hope that helps.
