OK...so this a sportbike forum right...well, for all of us who have gripes of one form or another about the hogs, lets hear em!!!
100bhp from a Hardly Ableson? On what planet!?!? :smilelol:CBR Rider said:I just love that you spend close to $20K on a bike and then have to spend another $5K voiding your warranty to make any power. :smilelol:
The best though has to be the exhaust. Nothing like a 100+dBA Harley making a whopping 100bhp (assuming they did the $5K worth of engine work) from 1450+cc's. The guy rumbling through town showing off his "powerful" ride.
Oh, wait it's the torque that counts right! At least that's what they want you to think...![]()
Maybe when I get real old, will buy a bike that is slow, that drives like a brick.Need4Speed750 said:OK...so this a sportbike forum right...well, for all of us who have gripes of one form or another about the hogs, lets hear em!!!![]()
It's supposed to be about riding, but some peeps just refuse to see it that way..which pisses me off as well. I dont care what you ride, I'll still wave to you, out of respect to a fellow rider. I may not like or care for what you ride, but so what, its respect issue in my mind..UGH..!!fatburg said:This might be silly, but the waving thing just boggles me. I have a cruiser and a sport and I wave to everyone. when I am on my Vulcan, 99% of the other riders wave back, few exceptions of the die-hard HD'ers that actually can tell the difference. But since I have had my sport....it's completely reversed, about 99% of the cruisers don't return the gesture.
Dang, I thought it was about riding, guess I was wrong.
And now it appears everyone has something against my cruiser...haha. The HD guys hate that's it's not "American Made" and the sporties complain about it being loud, heavy and slow...man I can't win...haha. Ah well, I'll just keep on ridin and keep on :hi: no matter which one I'm on.
Not to rock the boat, but hp on a dyno derives from the torque #s. They may have a ton of torque, but it doesn't matter if your bike weighs 800lbs. :thumbs:CBR Rider said:Oh, wait it's the torque that counts right! At least that's what they want you to think...![]()
I think saying that is a compliment. I mean the nice riding Exmark Lazer 60" mower I have at work will damn near do that speed, in 1 gear, in about a 30ft. It will even lay a better patch of rubber than the HD, turn better than ANYTHING! Not to mention all while cuttin the grass to look like a PGA golf coarse. :thumbs:twisty said:Yeah they are shifting though the gears and making all that noise, then 10 mins later they pass by doing like 30mph. All that money you spend on them and you get the technology lawn mower. :loser:
at least you get some satisfaction from riding the mower, and not just a bow-legged stance, and soar arse afterwards from the hogs!! :lol:Gas Man said:I think saying that is a compliment.
