I have to take offense at some of those remarks!! I own an '81 sturgis model and it handles very well and will snap your head back. I ride it when I have time to cruise around. My neighbor next door has a '79 super glide that will take your lunch money away if you aren't careful, but the baddest I have seen is my neighbor across the street. The retired Sgt Mjr has a 70's HD factory cafe' bike that will jet you on the straights and hang in there on the twisties. Not all HD's are lane hogging boat anchors, just the newer ones

My Lady and I were driving in my truck near Orlando once when we saw an HD broken down an the side of the road. We pulled over, she rolled down the window and said, "We would stop and help you, but we own Hondas and know you would never contaminate your bike by putting it in the back of our truck." Then she rolled up the window and started to drive away...He took the ride with his bike in the back. We drove him a few miles down the road and he unloaded at a friend's house. After we drove away, she said he would probably wave at the next sportbike he meets...or shoot at it
