i wonder if consumer reports ever did a test on different brands of helmets..and to honest, when you are in wreck, its over in a matter of seconds or even quicker..so unless you are wearing a paper bag on your head, its going to do its job if its Dot/Snell certified...and since you really should replace your lid after its been involved in an accident, what you are mainly worrying about is it protecting your head from the initial impact that would happen, as well not coming apart as you go sliding/bouncing down the highway.
if its Dot/Snell, and you like it..Just get it! Im wearing a Vega lid..and its all good w/ me...costs me a fraction of a Shoei. Now if I could afford a new AGV or Shoei, would I get one, yeah sure probably but just because its cool to have one of those, and if I never get one, I wont sweat it.
