OK, I sent this question to another member here on the board, but I'll ask everyone else here the same thing. OK, My Dad has cleaned up an old gun for a friend of his, and he just made it into a pretty wall hanger. And the gun is from the Eclipse Gun Co. He wants to know where it was made and what year it was made? Can ya help a girl out?!

This is all the information my Dad gave me. That it's an Eclipse and I think he said something about it being a "side by side" barrel?!

:help:

I don't know anything about this 'eclipse' gun but I do have a couple of "guns" that are illegal in 38 states.:leaving:
ha! ha! ha! don't tempt me into to asking if I could "illegally" use one to do something "illegal"

The Eclipse Arms Co gun is one of thousands of Belgian-made shotguns imported from around 1880-1920 and retailed by the major hardware mail-order chains. They were inexpensive at the time, and have no collector interest now. One absolute: they are universally considered NOT safe to shoot, even if in excellent condition. Modern shells will cause it to self-destruct, violently.

As a wall hanger or conversation piece, I would say about 200 bucks...

Mossberg 500, Ruger Mk II, Glock 21 owner here.

If you want a forum that is full of good people and good info, go here:

http://glocktalk.com

There is info there for all sorts of guns, not just Glocks.

Sounds like we have similar tastes. My old man has a Ruger Mk II and an old remington shotgun.

I noticed you are from Nebraska. Is Papillion near Grand Island? I think I'll be there in the Summer.
