:withstupi :iagree:ebbs15 said::withstupi :welcome: :twfrox: I started out on a SV650s good bike... and I'd DEFINATLY go used... not such a big deal if you drop it... plus they're alot less $$$ so you can afford all the PROPER GEAR and the MSF course... two things you shouldn't be alowed on the road with out... IMHO:2cents:

Yeah the 650R WOULD be a good beginner bike IN MY OPINION IN a year or so... when you can buy a USED one! don't think you should buy a brand new bike for your first... but then again... it's better to start on a brand new 650r than a 5 year old 1000... :2cents:929_RUI said:yah. thats my lil man Frankenstein! (www.gonebully.com) thats where i got him. his mom is the white one not the big fat brindle. and his dad is Sweety Tator Pie.
*and about the bike, Kawasaki came out with a 650R twin this year, that is very cool. Just a tiny bit less power than an sv..-8hp and 4 ft.lbs i think. and -4 mph on the top speed. but bike gets great ratings and is one hell of a looker!
Yeah... the oil question too..ebbs15 said::withstupi with "what oil is best?" being a close second...
Soccerdude... just a heads up... you may get alot of the same thing GMan is saying... people ask this same question ALOT... but then probably 5% actually LISTEN... and start on something we sudgested... hopefully since you'r asking... you are listening too...:dthumb: :twfrox:
I dig the 650R too. Or the zzr600 from Kawi. If you want an inline 4 Sportbike , don't go higher than 600cc. They are capable of 165 and it'd be fine for a while.Gas Man said:Yeah... the oil question too..
I am, personally, no heart feelings... I hate that question...
I think somebody needs to go thru all those threads and count how many times we have had to give the same advice!
