I just got some new H7 bulbs for the 6 and I remember hearing that if you touch the bulb then it might blow right away. How much truth is there in this. it could have been some body messing with me but I just want to make sure. TIA

i've heard similar with some bulbs for home use....good question.

It's supposed to be the oil from your hands caused the halogen bulb to pop when it heated up. I've known it to happen with 1999 Z28 and a buddy with shakey hands lol

As Snake said... the oil on your hands gets on the bulb and will cause it to pop, not too mention way prematurly!

:iagree: The same goes with any high heat generating bulb's i.e. metal halide's or high pressure sodium
