I am looking for something to lock my helmet to my bike. I have one of those long cables that lock, but it is alot of hassle. What do you use to lock your helmet to your bike???

I know two people with that same bike....I can't remember if there was any lock under the seat..I don't think there was tho.

The bikes that have the under seat locks for your helmets...look like a hook. When you slide the rear seat back on the helmet just hangs off the bike.

I know my FZ6 does NOT have a lock and it's annoying. I have a little 1.5' cheap bike lock from the 99-cent store.

my 636 has a helmet hook. it is right under where the cowl is notched out for it. it's nothing fancy, just hook it from that little metal rod that sticks out about an inch and pop the cowl on, you are good to go.

My F4i has hooks under the seat, but if I'm carrying saddle/tail bags, There is a hole in the frame near the rear brake reservoir I can slip a lock through and lock it there.

2000 ZX9R Lock

I just purchased a 2000 ZX9r but can't seem to find a helmet lock anywhere. Any clues??? It has a hotbodies undertail. :readng:

:welcome: cmalone.... in the front of the trunk ( in the tail section ) there are 2 hooks. The hooks face inward. With your seat or cowl off you can see these. Hang your helmet on it off the D-tab and then put the seat back on. You will have to go under the left side helmet or thru it to get your key into the keyhole to remove the seat.

It works very well!

It works very well!

The hooks might be attached to the cowl on some bikes. Pulse you can use the cable for a piece of mind.

Not on the 9R... its attached to the subframe... actually its the bolt that goes thru the hook, the tail, and into the subframe.
