I have to decide on which pair of riding gloves I want for Christmas. I already have some A-stars SP-1s in black which are very nice gloves but a little stiff. I am thinking I want another pair as my primary gloves and will keep the SP-1s as backup. I want gloves that will give me a bit better "feel" so does that mean I should look at Kangaroo leather palms??? Anyone use the Teknic Speedsters with all Kangaroo leather and Knox CE armor?? They look like awesome gloves but I have read some reviews and comments by some of the regulars here that Teknic as a whole makes some shoddy leathers. Was wondering if their gloves were any better. The other 2 that I am considering (even though they are not Kangaroo leather) are the Spidi Sport Composite and the Dainese Firestarters. I like the looks of the Spidi the best but not sure if they are better. They do look like they would protect very well but the obvious tradeoff is that they seem a bit bulky. The Firestarters, I have tried on, and they seem like just the right amount of feel but not much in the protection department. What do you think? Speedsters, Sport Composite, or Firestarter? Thanks and Ride ON!! OBTW, Fight ON USC- BEAT ucla!!! and :h23:

I don't know what to suggest but I totally understand what you mean... some gloves are so padded and thick with leather that it doesn't feel like you have a good feeling on the controls...

Different strokes for different folks.

I suggest going to a dealer and trying on as many different brands and style as you can find. You may have to go to different dealers to find all the brands your interested in. Then use the net and or prices match scheme to get the best deal.

Trying on any gear is the only way to know if you're going to like it. Just reading the stats on the stuff isn't good enough!!
