Im having trouble getting the swingarm off my 04 ninja, the bolt on the right side seams to need a special tool? and also
with the very front bolts for the frame , the right side sticks through the frame and i cant figure out how I can pull the frame off once everything is unbolted.
any help would be very appreciated.

Heres some pics.

the first pic is where the swingarm meets the frame and i cant get it off. The second pic is showing how on the front right side of the frame, there is a bolt hole going THRU the frame. making it near impossible to pull the frame off even when all bolts and screws are removed.
thanks for any help

At the swingarm, you need a four point special socket to remove the locking collar. I'm not too sure what your problem is at the front...try a better description of the problem you are having.

How was the TL frame to get off GAS?
The TLS was pretty easy. I just had to take it to work and use some really big sockets to seperate the swing arm from the frame! The biggest problem with the TL was getting the F'ed up bolts and screws off from the crashes.

Now I did a '02 954 recently and that was a bietch!!! I couldn't find a big enough allen wrench to get the swing arm/tranny/frame apart. :cursin: I had to emprephizes (sp?) and use some "custom" tools!!!

Ok first off, the intention in taking the frame off...this means alot, because it tells me whether or not you can scratch or damage the frame.

Secondly, if you don't have the special socket and don't feel like buying one. You can always do the ole chisel and hammer.

On that second pic, is that "sleeve" have a allen wrench pattern in it? If so just get the right sized allen wrench and remove it!

When it comes to removing motors from frames or frames off bikes. It gets tricky! There is alot of bolts holding those motors to the frames.

On the last bike I did, a '02 954, there was the same bolt as your first pic...it went thru the frame/swingarm/tranny/swingarm/frame....it was sick and was a pain to get out!!!

OK, for the front, The frame is right up against the motor in the front on both sides, and my problem is that...If you picture trying to lift off the frame, there is a part of the motor (its threaded on the outside, and had a allen wrench bolt that went inside the threaded area) that sticks through the frame where the right bolt goes into. If this doesnt make sense Ill probably go to the shop where i got the bike from tomarrow anyway, sorry its hard to describe, i guess the only way to know what im talking about is to look at it personally.
