They just announced your MT-01 as a NA 06 model. while youre getting yours, pick me up one too.

Most all the big Twin bikes start in that area.
Yeah but that's just sportbikes...
Have you priced any Kaw's or V Stars. Most all the big Twins go for 10+. Some of the smaller starter bikes go for less. He!! the Damn 600 SB's are going to 10+ before long.

I guess the question is, do I get it in Silver or Black? I kind'a like the black.
Just change the cans man...Akrapovic titanium (what the local Yamaha shop has here) looks so much better than those HUGE things Yamaha put on. It's a real blast to ride too

youve ridden one then.... so wassup wit-it?!?!??!
it is quite a mean looking machine. I wish they would stop tho, since buying the wife's new car I'm not allowed to buy any new toys for a while.
JK, it's a little like the Fazer, only a little longer reach. The torque is AWESOME like the Fazer 1000 and it really is like all the magazines and testers say: Sport Cruiser. It's plenty fast and you really can lay it over in the turns. Top speed of course...well, there isn't any protection, so anything over 120mph is pretty hard on the upper body. 80-100mph is just fine though. Did I mention lots of torque? It really is fun. Not like the R6 like I have, but different. If I had enough $$$ I'd have both, but the 600 won that battle...

That happens with allot of people.
I just wish they would make it public when or if its actually coming to the US.
Internet and mag articles are all just speculations at this point. The one posted at the beginning of this thread is the only one that say it will be here.
Till I see it on the Yamaha's web page. I wont be holding my breath. :tt:
Bump due to recent interest.:whore:
says its 16 g'z here so prolly round 13 there, hell of a bike tho, but i agree. The cans gotta go
I could deal with the cans if I could just get one for under 20 G's. That's about what it would cost to get it shipped over the pond and registered here. Not quit worth it to me.:disapp:

The good thing is, If it does make it state side. There will be plenty of aftermarket parts for it. Its been in Europe for a while now and seems to be popular.

I may look into this further. If You guys got'em. Then its just some legal PATA stuff to get it registered here. New vin and everything.:cursin:
i havny seen any here yet, but they got a payment thing on the site so i guess you can order,
Like I said. Getting the bike is the easy part. Making it legal is the PITA.
Dont know if this guys takin the pizz but this was in a trhead about em

Ahem, not sure if it matters.

BUT.

A friend of mine works in US Customs (shipping/container inspection) on the west coast.

He's also an avid rider, the guy primarily responsible for me getting into riding.

Anyway, he inspected, by chance, a container coming into the US from europe (Belgium, IIRC). Inside said container, along with a bunch of other stuff, was a big crate marked "BUELL", headed to Corbin Industries. Finding it rather odd that a Buell was getting shipped from belgium in a container full of non-moto-related-stuff, he cracked open the crate.

Inside was a shiny new Yamaha MT-01.

Just give it some time. If theyre already sending them to aftermarket companies for parts development, we'll be getting them.

They had an 05 MT-01 last year at the Knoxville Honda Hoot at the Corbin tent. That was the first one I saw in person. It just confirmed my desire to own one.
I'd buy one...if I liked it. I don't like it. I'd rather pick up a GSXR 750 than that, and I don't like GSXR's.
if there gonna be more than they say already. id buy a Buell, and thats comin from a Yama nut, apperently it handles well but its not the beast i thought it was, says the 1600 mill is no superbike killer. It jus looks so radical :yikes:
