Does anybody else ride with Hippo Hands? I've been using them every winter for at least 20 years. I stopped at a library on Thursday and some guy said he hadn't seen them in years. They are covers that slip over your handlebars, and your hand slips inside. Here's a picture of what they look likehttp://www.hippohands.com/Hippo Hands.htm.

Mine are so old they have the cutouts for the mirror stalks on the handlebar. I've used them on my old Suzuki and my Honda. Hands are warm as toast and I wear my summer gloves. I don't know if other riders are jealous, or think I'm a dork.

I have some I bought 25 years ago, they aren't triangular like the hippos, they look like the gloves you see on TV labs where they reach into the "box" to handle chemicals or radioactive. they come about 1/2 up your forearm and they mount to the bars like the Hippos, but look more like tubes

I'm sorry, but those look obscene!! I'm picturing someone tryin' to keep other appendages warm! :yikes:
Don't laugh, while looking for those, I saw a pic of a guy that had made a plastic wind apron with fleece on the bottom side to cover up his twigs and berries:yikes: It mounted around the tank and covered his legs like loose chaps almost, now THAT was obscene.:bonk:

Well, if he had a passenger, it could come in handy (no pun intended.... well, maybe sorta.... )
