anyone in here ever smoke shisha from a hookah or ever go to a hookah bar? i went tonight with two friends and i was great... :cheers: one of those few "legal highs" :bonk: there is no marijuana involved (nor do i smoke it); actually smoking marijuana from the hookah is really looked down upon by true hookah enthusiasts and usually ruins the pipe...
shisha is just tobacco flavored with fruit combined with molasses/honey... there are so many flavors (around 40-50) and you can add juice or milk to the water (or wine or liquor) in the base, so the possibilities of flavor combinations are endless...
i here that it's alot safer than smoking cigarettes because it's pure tobacco (minus all the menthol and other carcinogens). one bowl (takes about 1 hour to burn completely) is supposed to equal one cigarette in the terms of tar and nicotine. (i had a nice buzz goin after about 45 mins.)
i might invest in my own hookah pipe setup. it's a fun little social activity if you have a party goin'... you can look em' up on yahoo. they've been made/used for millenia.
