Hey all, I've been around for a while just lurkin. I've been looking for a first bike and I think I've found it!! There's a guy selling a 1997 Kawasaki ZX6E with 10,000 miles for 1700. It's in pristine condition, except it was down on the drivers side so the fairing is scraped. Other than that thought it's clean. All stock with recent oil change. Man im psyched!! Clean title too! Anybody know how these ride? I'm gonna check it out wednesday and if it works out I'm probably gonna buy it!

I have some pics but I don't know how to post them.(I know there's a tutorial somewhere but I've got homework out the wazzoo...no time) Anybody care to help? I'm going to check it out tomorrow!!! Only damage to it is a scraped fairing and scraped muffler on left side. I think the shifters are still fine too. It looks like it was the guys baby though, perfect paint and really really clean chain, swingarm, wheels, and aftermarket blue headlight. I'll def. post pics thought if somebody will help me out!

Thanks jeeps! No, actually that green bike is the previous owner's other bike. My buddy has a 92 Katana:lol: (Hopefully a 04 R1 soon though) Anyhoo, it's a blast to drive, I got some miles on her today. Man does she pull! I just can't get over the power! I've ridden bikes, but not one's as fast as this. Actually that brings up another question, my motor seems to be a little off. My powerband REALLY kicks in at 7k but at around 10 or 11 the power really seems to fall off. I don't think it's supposed to be that way and I might take it in for a tune up. How much can I expect for a good tune up? Like carbs, throttle adjust, stuff like that.
