How did you pay for school???? As in past tense! I didn't... I'm still paying! Student loans. But I worked part time in a few different ways... anything from retail, to various other industrial situations. Then eventually worked full time during the summer as a grunt worker and then picked it up as part time during school at my current employer. It was good pay for hard work but I eventually got hired full time and here I am. And glad to be here! Look at me :whore: while getting paid quite well for it! :D

If you didnt go to college what was your 1st or worst job? :dthumb:
Been fortunate to not have any really bad jobs. As for college...still paying that damn college loan.

:2cents: IMO college is a waste of time & money unless you were taking it to become a Military officer, Doctor, something that guarantees you with experience after finishing college. Otherswise its just an expensive piece of paper that really isnt worth a damn without any experience...especially these days. :2cents:

To be honest my USAF service has gotten me more job offers than my degree ever did. Just the fact that I served in the military got attention with company recruiters and good impressions with interviewers..even in completely unrelated fields that I applied for.

I paid for school with scholarships.

1st job was at a movie theater, it sucked cause I was a concessionist.

Worst job was working at a Marina while they were building it and was asked to pick up plywood that had been pissed on by carpenters and using a septic tank boat to unload yachts. I quit the day they asked me to pick up the plywood.

I worked at Best Buy throughtout college. It was fun when it wasn't Christmas time.

fortunately, now I go to school for what I do (network administrator), and if my grades are atleast 3.0 GPA, I am eligible for re-embursement. I have been working since the age of 14 (honestly) I had a part time jobs for mom and pop store weather it was working in the stock room at a fabric place (yea I know :gary: but at 14 I had a paycheck!), to working at toys r us, bestbuy, lowes, lanscape companies, and networking companies up to now, as a network admin. I have always been working. Working retail builds character IMO.

:2cents: IMO cant go wrong with pursuing a degree in the healthcare field. :2cents:

I know a several people who went to very expensive/prestigious private schools to pursue a degree in liberal arts..(history, arts) etc..... and in the end had school loan bill of over 100,000.00 :bonk: ......now they work in various non related jobs...IMO thats one degree thats absolutely worthless 99% of the time.

I agree...I graduated from college the first time with a history/government degree and taught school for a couple of years...

I went back to school and got the acct/finance degree, am now waiting for MS/MBA program to cycle around and the CPA test...The accounting degree gained me offers before I was finished...

Maggie Valley! I met my gf at Cataloochee. My Dad saw someone from the old Addam's Family TV show drive a car into the creek near Ghost Town after he was done doing publicity thing there. Drunk of course.
