I know of a few people that won't ride with there buddies and there friends because of bike style difference. Example being Rockets and other Sport Bikes only, no Cruisers, or vice versa. Just wondering what everyone's general opinion about that was. Personally, I don't care. if it has 2 wheels, I'm in. Although I prefer sportbikes just cuz we generally have more a need for speed and the twisties more so than the cruisers..but i'll ride with whoever if I get the chance.

I don't really care what kind of bike another rider has. I'll ride with anyone, but I don't really plan to ride. If I finished my work and the weather's right, I'm gone.

It's hard to find others who can ride the same time I can or who want to go the same place I do. I hate the highways, but love the backroads. There's a local club http://www.cosportbikeclub.org that has organized rides every Saturday and Sunday morning that anyone can go on. But they all very good (fast) riders.

u ride with those guys often?
I love this part of the site...

One way of interpreting this (and if money is not an issue) is, if you're going to go more than 10 mph over the limit, you may as well go 39 mph over the limit.

That's what I'm talkin about!!! :dthumb: But what about 120+ OVER the limit!!! That about what it was on that high speed DJ pass.... Speed Limit 55 9R 170mph .....

No, just several times. I show up with my 14 year old CBR, and they have brand new R1's, R6's RR's, GSXR's TLR's etc. I did find out about some new routes which was good. But I found out how slow I am in the corners. On one route, we started just west of Denver and wound up at over 10,000 feet in just over an hour, without being on a major highway. They wanted to keep on going, but I had to pee, so I waved them off and stopped. It really is fun to ride with bikers who are a step up from your league.
Sounds like you were riding with a close approx. club as WOS... I say close because nobody does it up WOS style!!!
As long as I am riding I don't care who comes along or wants to ride. If I meet up with a pack og H-D on the highway, I might stick with them for a bit but not for long. They go to slow for me. LOL
My riding buddies ride everything from sportbikes, to vintage bikes, to cruisers. Shoot, sometimes I even let guys on Suzukis ride with me.

sportbikes and cruisers

im kinda with everyone.. dya to day riding.. ill ride withy anyone.. however hwne it comes time to corner and its a logn road without stops i dont want to have to risde corners slow for them, i dont do slow corners...thats why i bought a sportbike. So i'll ride "with " them but i may end up 23 miles ahead at the end of a 50 mile ride.... if theres a gas station for me to stop while they catch up i will... but only if theres not a corner i can lean in right by...
If i found a good rider on a good cruiser that could corner halfway fast id have no prob, though HD Ultra glides that have pegs 2" of the ground suck to get stuck behind in curves... they corner slower then a 80 year old in a Buick...seriously...i cant ride or hang with at least... any bike uncapable of at least keeping up with a normal car. Cornering slow on a sportbike is like walking to work in the snow and rain when u have a truck.
