So where are you in replacing your bike?? are you going to move up to liter bike??thirdgenlxi said:I changed all my brakes front and rear for the first time when I put on the new rear tire, which was about 3 weeks before I crashed. So 27,000 miles, and they still had a little meat left but starting to get low so I just changed them all with EBC HH.
Still waiting on the insurance check to arrive so I can fix mine. I haven't heard anything from them since the dude came out and looked at it, so I called today and she said they were still trying to get a few prices for the parts, and motorcycles take longer than cars, yada yada. But she said it shouldn't be much longer and we'll see what they want to give me. Soon I hope! I'm really missing having my bike to ride, and the gas prices are killer lately so I want my 42 mpg back :yikes:bumblebee said:So where are you in replacing your bike?? are you going to move up to liter bike??
I have skated by 4 races on my Carbons Lorrains but they are way below the safe limit now.GsxrJack said:2 or 3 race weekends....... :dthumb:
when not racing, just about once a year,, I always like to have fresh front brakes and its a cheap and easy job... :2cents:
my 2 cents is to never let your pads get worn down past 3/4 the original thickness on the track...they may look ok and you may think their ok but when you put a new set on youll realize how much braking your missing....its a cheap fix for running deep into those corners so dont scrimp on brake pads, especially on the track.......... :2cents:twisty said:I have skated by 4 races on my Carbons Lorrains but they are way below the safe limit now.
