How many of you advocate the MSF course(s) but haven't taken one?

I also think an MSF or similar course should be mandatory as well. While they obviously cant teach you everything, the foundation of knowledge and skill is absolutely essential to starting off on the right foot into riding.

Plus the insurance break is nice too..

Taking the course obviously doesn't automatically make you a solid rider by any means...however, I'd much rather ride with a new rider that took it, than one that didn't.
