How often do you check your tire pressure?

I just check mine at random times. No real method... do you guys do it everytime you ride, everytime you wash the bike, or everytime you change the oil...what?

I check with my hands every ride. If I notice any thing strange, I get the gauge out.

Every weekend unless the bike handles like it has low pressure. Usually you can feel if its wrong just by riding.

I usually check mine every couple of weeks and like people above said you can tell by riding it, etc. At the track I adjust it before riding depending on recommendation, etc. What kind of pressure do you run in those Pilots on the street Gas?

:here: Everybody needs to remember that every time you use a gauge. You actually lower the pressure. The gauge releases a little bit of air every time. It sounds trivial but a bike tire doesn't have allot of air volume to start with. Its not near as important to street rides as track days and races. Ever pound counts when ridding at race pace.

Having a compressor in the garage makes checking a pleasure. Plus, the tires are still cold.

Obviously tire pressure is critical to the handling of a bike....that being said, I don't check mine often enough. Usually every 3-4 weeks, depending how much I ride, or before any canyon riding.

Ya my bike handles different when the pressure changes...

MP... I run 30/32 on mine on the street. And actually the same as the track. Cause that is about 2-3#'s lower than what Kaw recomends...but I like it softer.

I also run 2 pounds lower than Honda recommends. It lists the same pressure (36/42) for full load as for regular riding.

Visual inspection, daily...gauge, weekly...unless, like the last 3 weeks, we have a low of hot, humid, low pressure, rainy days, and then it is everytime out

The weather does play a very important role in tire pressure.

I usually check it if my handling doesn't feel the same. I also apply the thumbs method.

Yeah I think Kaw says 32/36 or somin.. I run 30/32... when I run it on their marks...on the highway it wants to turn in too fast for my liking and makes it less stable when weaving!

Tire pressure is the single most important thing to keep up on maintance wise. It is the only thing that touchs the road. They propel you, take all the forces of you turning, and stop you. There is nothing more exciting than knowing can trust your tires pull you through a hot corner.
