I took the bike out today, alone, for about a 100 mile ride. I took some little traveled county roads in rural northern AL. I didn't bring a map with me, only a printout from the Map software that didn't show detail down to the county road level. I THOUGHT I could find the way I wanted to go.
So, after awhile of just riding who knows where, I decided I should turn around and backtrack a little. I found my way back to a main road, but I should have either brought the GPS or a map.
There's something about riding and not knowing where you are that take some of the fun out of it, at least for me. I was, actually, looking for a road I'd taken once before and thought I could find it by sight. Nope.
Aside from that, the weather here is fantastic. It's in the upper 70's, low 80's and mostly sunny. The traffic was sparse, bugs weren't too bad and the bike ran like a champ. I topped 'er off with 93 octane before I went out and she was happy to rev up. :redmc:
