okay i got a ticket for doing wheelies about 3 months or more ago .... the one you all know about...... the judge said that i just had to take it easy driving and that it put two points on my record.... now i got a thing in the mnail saying the DMV is going to take my licence away for a month.... can they do this or should i go and see if i can fight it

Is it a total now of two points or two more points. If it is two only I dont see where the DMV can administer adittional levies agianst the Judge ruling. How ever if your state has a Loss of licens rule when you reach a certain amount of total accumulated points then you might be SOL.
But Dont take my total word for it I am sure every state is diff.

I think I would look a little deeper itnto why they can do this then. I mean if you went to court, how many peeple can punish you for your crime. The judge already administerd the punishment he saw fit. Please check it out. It could make the next little thing a big thing if you show a reacord that wasnt necessary. :2cents:bulldog said:

You can file appeal with DMVbulldog said:
When you go to hearing make sure tell DMV you drive lots of miles :dthumb:
More miles you drive more points DMV gives you before suspending licence.

DMV has more power than God bulldog... You could try for a restricted but that is probably as good as you will get... :luck:

What, exactly, is their reason for suspending your license? JUST the two points, or does the letter say something different. You may have been so mad when you read about them taking your license that you didn't see the reasoning for it because your mind was clouded. Read the letter again, slowly, and see what it says. Does it actually say that your license IS suspended, or does it say that it WILL be suspended if you get any more points? Or does it say that your license COULD be suspended but isn't because of the ruling of the judge. There are MANY possibilities, and I know from experience that people sometimes read too fast and don't see what the letter truly says. So, calm down and read it again, two or three times is necessary, and make sure you know exactly what the letter says.

MIght be the 18 thing, also a lot of states you are in 'Driver Probation' for the first 2-3 years of having your liscence.
