handguards on a SV

I want to get a head start on my cold weather mods and gear. Last winter nearly took my fingers.

Im looking for handguard solutions for my '02 SV650N. Preferrable ones that attach to the bar end, as most enduro and MX types attach to the bar in places that i dont have open. Buell types dont look like they will bolt up how i need em either. Anyone have a V strom or DRZ with guards? They are an option on the DRZ but i dont know how the fit up. And ive seen some pics of some on V stroms but no info on who what when where or how. Looked at alot of touring sites and am not too encouraged. ANY help at all is appreciated.

I am looking at heated hand grips and a wind screen to help me out this year too.

 -jesse

Did you go with full heated grips or just elements? Let me know how the A* treat you.
I got the grips that wrap around the outside of the grip. thought having them easily removed would be useful. When i test em i let you know how they do. im excited about the gloves....

In the winter, I use my summer elkskin gloves under my hippo hands. With those heavy-padded gloves, I don't know how you can feel the controls. Especially with state-of-the art brakes nowadays. I'm putting mine on next week.

Nice gloves!
What kind of price for those?
got em from knedraggers for $72.00. i think Speedwerks were cheaper but they dont take discover. :sob: Theyre new this year and i think they look much better than the previous WR-1 design. i am worried some about feel, but in the mornings when its the coldest, im not too worried about spirited riding, just surviving the commute. I'll pack my summer short gloves for the afternoons when its gorgeous.

well my heated grips are on. few zip ties for the wire and theyre done. Might be a while befor they get a true trial, but they heat up fast and are easy on easy off.

i love these mirrors. visually lower the bike and not so much air turbulance directed at my head like the OE ones did.

Do you off road that SV. Take a blower or something to that trunk. Pleas!
 be kind to my poor bike jeeps  i actually do some off roading at work, riding through a gravel parking lot to get to the motorcycle pad. Poor thing gets soooo dirty just from work. The painters and sand blasters were working on some bio tanks a few weeks ago and some of the over spray made it to where i parked my bike. They said theyd give me some clay bars because thats what they use to get it off, but theyve avoided me since. :cursin:

I always had the bigger end of the mirrors faceing out. just flipped around. But they look good on there.
