Ok....so after my recent chain and sprocket / 520 conversion my speedo was even MORE off!!

So what is a guy suppose to do?

There is truly only one option... order a speedo healer. I ordered mine from Cal-Sportbike for only about $95 shipped. (Thanks Sime for the link to them)

I got it last week and finally got it installed today. It was a little confusing on the install. As to understand them...but once I did, it was beyond easy!

It is a simple idea... it goes inline between the speedo sensor (off the countershaft sprocket) and the ECU. What it does is translates that signal in to a corrected signal out to the ECU and then to your speedo. It is really a simple idea once you think about it.

Now I have to go out to the highway and see how fast I'm really going!

Here's a few pics of the install. There wasn't really much to show.

Originally the black harnesses were pluged directly together... now the white harnesses are "in-line" with the SH..

The other end of those wires and the SH itself. Really small...

Wiring ran from speedo hook up that is under the tank to the unit & There it is tucked away under the front seat...

I just got mine. What is the idiot calibration guide. I'm not worried about the plugging it up, just calibrating. Ill be installing mine after my new double bubble get here.

Well mine went under the gas tank not behind the dash.

It would be hard to describe in text but I could help ya over the phone... unless you have a specfic question.

I put one on my pickup. (over sized tires) The install was easy. Calibrating was a pain until after I figured it out from the instruction. Now I could put it in cliff notes to make it simpler.

Well read the instruction!! DUH!!



Understand that there is 6 switchs... each switch is a different setting and you use the button to program each switches setting. Info Here

Use the Online Calculator You estimated and then select what you have changed.

But once you plug it in...

It's like this...

-flip all 6 switches up to ON

-turn the key on - you'll see the very little LED flash

-press the button - you'll see it flash again (These first steps are to reset the memory...don't ever push the button if you are just checking the settings)

-now flip down all BUT the one switch that you want to program/set.
For example: to adjust it -15.7%

-So leave switch #3 up/on

-don't push the button because the chart says 0 (no button push) is negative

-Now flip up switch #4 and flip off/down #3 (you must always have one switch up)

-push the button once (for 1 as in the first 1 of 15%)

-flip up switch #5 and off/down #4

-push the button 5 times (for the 5 of 15%)

-flip up #6 and off/down #5

-press the button 7 times ( for .7%)

-flip down/off switch #7

The first time you do that last step it should blink 3 times... if you want to confirm your settings do all the same things just don't push the button. Everytime you flip a different switch it will blink for each setting...

My speedo is read by a sensor on the front wheel I think, so this wouldn't do me any good. I know my miles are waaaaaaaay off! When I am rideing a wheelie. My miles are not accuratly registering.
