If you could own ANY bike on the planet, what would it be? Forget price. Forget insurance. Name the bike. Not only tell us which bike it'd be, but more importantly WHY.

I am going to have to go with a GSXR. Either 750 or 1000. Most likely the 1000. More power and a nice wheelie machine. I am very happy over all with the handling of the gixxer and will always own one. :dthumb:

im gonna cheat here, because if I can any bike, then I want 2 bikes.. A sport-tourer and super bike.

Im sure you can all guess what my Sport-Tourer would be..for riding with a passenger, going for a nice long weekend ride, with twisties and straights, and easily adaptable to luggage, comfortable as anything, good power, just one of those bikes I've always wanted.

and then for those twisties, tracks, and just plain out having a blast opening it up to pushin the limits, there's none other than this beast.

I'd consider the VFR and the 12R to both be sport tourers, actually. The 12R isn't a very good technical twistie or track bike. (Unless you consider a drag strip a track) It's kind of a pig...

Great hyper-tourer though!
The Superduke! Oh yea....I want one reallly bad!

compared to the VFR, she's a beast though..i'd just one to blow the doors off pretty much anything on the road if I ever had the urge, and then just settle back, thru some luggage on the VFR and head to california :D
Well, you could always wait until next year and get a VFR1200 then. :) Over 200hp at the crank VTEC V-5 that'll top 200 from the factory if you disable the governor...
yeah, I cant wait for that new VFR to come out!! ..its about time Honda takes a big stab at the big boys on suzuki and kawa. Im sure it will still be in the honda tradition of style, comfort and power..so we'll wait and see.
The TLR. i have waited so long to have one, and finally bought it last year. Its not the best handling, nor does it have the most power, but it still pulls really hard. The sound can't be beat by any other bike on the road. There are so many mods you can do to it, and i'm in the process of many, all at once. The technology is a little outdated compared to the brand new SS bikes, but it had more character in my opinion. A true cult classic, the TLR.

Oooh, it's a tough I have a tough time choosing between an MV Agusta De Oro, a Benelli Tornado, and a Vincent Black Shadow!
Still kinda new to this whole sportbike thing, but lovin it so far.....but gonna have to go with the R1. Gotta admit I"m porbably a little bias right now...but get over it.

We have a winner.

One of the nicest designs ever.

I have to admit that number 2 for me would be a harley though.

I have always wanted to tour on one of those big UltraGlides with the big body work, stereo, luggage room etc etc, would be a great way to do a lot of miles around Australia
I love that MV mojo...way cool..definately not one that comes to mind at first, as so many of us, myself included at times, always think of the big 4 first off. nothing wrong with that of course..all in what u want

someday I'll have a zx12..someday!
Although a new 999s maybe in my near future.
This would be the bike of choice!
Now the Benelli is a sweet bike. Now the seat to tank area could use a bit more work on it for the price they go for, but I would still own one. :dthumb:
I woulda said the Benelli Tornado Tre myself, until I read a britsh mag (Performance Bikes, July 2004) evaluating it - tested poorly, and the damn mirror fell off  ...., So now I say the Mille R, or a Yama M1 (yes, "M").
you mean this ?

oh, and welcome to TWF man!! be sure to put up a post in the newbie thread in the General Off Topic Section
