Also a little about the bike as well so far....
Yamahas new M1 has an all-new in-line 4 cyclinder, 5-valve per cylinder engine developing over 200PS. The M1 code following Yamaha’s traditional YZR race prototype prefix stands for Mission One. . The chassis is a direct development from that of the YZR500 two-stroke GP bike[Deltabox], featuring an adjustable head stem and swingarm pivot, the major distinction being the geometry design due to the different engine and strengthened swingarm. The M1 was already under development towards the latter part of 2000 and has proven to have better acceleration and higher top-end than the YZR500 due to the smoother power delivery. This also means longer tyre-life, every team and rider's dream.

Yes the Yam R7 is or was a nice bike. But be honest..which is better?? The R7 or the GSXR750??? We all know which one I like. :dthumb:

R7..., how did I forget? Sweet deal..., who started this thread? I think the final answer is "there's too many to choose from." that's why all enthusiasts should gety a governement allowance of $250K to snag up at least 3-5 dreamers!!! Let's get it on the ballot!!!

Dunno though - the R7 was badass - only 50 made it to the U.S. @ $25,000 each. That M1 though is pretty sweet. It almost makes me forget about the R7 which started it all - it was the beginning of the R6 & R1, etc. But that M1 - DAYYYYYMMMMNNNNNN smokey that is bad ass. Give me one of each!
