Go with you hart!
Just remember every job you quit is a bad mark against you later.
If you quit, you need to work at least a weeks notice.
It looks better when you can use past jobs as a reference.

Who's going to pay the bills on that bike?

Bull: Job and sports dont mix in high school, every year i would tell whoever i was working for that i either need off for like 2-3 months or i will work the weekends but that was it u work and play a sport during the week and ur gonna kill urself and ur grades. usually employers understand when ur still in high school.

but y is football starting now, i dont think its even legal for HS to start football right now, like actual practice, i know we use to have like drills in the morning like 3 days a week in the summer but it was only for an hour or 2.

You have the rest of your life to work. I say go play ball. If push comes to shove and you can't afford the bike anymore, than don't sweat it. Sell it. wait a few years and buy another. Don't forget your only 17. There are certain things that you just can't do when your older. And playing high school football with all your friends is one of them. Bikes and work will allways be around. And it seems like work is around too much :cursin: . Just don't miss out on the fun stuff in life. :luck:

Well, honestly, you might have to sell the bike. You said yourself that you love football more than the bike. Life is full of sacrifices and compromises. One sacrifice you could make would be to come home and do your homework instead of surfing and posting on the forum. No offense, but I don't think your priorties are quite where they should be right now. You're 17, you'll have plenty of time in your life for a bike. If you have to sell the bike, then it's not going to hurt you that much. You can't do EVERYTHING you want and you will have to give up something. You just have to choose what to keep and what to give up.

I would say play football. I started working during HS but I didn't have any sports/activities that I was doing at that time. If I HAD, I wouldn't have started working. You're still young and in school, use that time to do what you like. Once you graduate you'll have the be dealing with the things you HAVE to do and that will come soon enough.

That's just my :2cents:

You might also try explaining the situation to your new boss, maybe they will work with you. <shrug>

i did the play football and workin HS, not fun but was worth it, got ok grades, but when u goto college its a whole other level, practice is the shortest thing of the day, nuttin but meetins and lifting sessions, still managed to get a 3.75, but it suffered cuz of football.... all i goto say is do what u want, the friends you have on the team will still be you rfriends, and old team mates....

Ok, I gotta better idea, play ball, work weekends, and RIDE the bike to school, football, and work. You said it your self your mom would cover the bike for now. Work during the summer and pay a good chunk of the bike off then. Enjoy it now while you can, because its all work work work later on in life.

Plus he'll have plenty of time to surf one day while his wife is watching Oprah.

Seriously Bull, you'll always have time for the other stuff. You won't always have time for football. I played baseball in college, however, I wish I had taken it more seriously at your age. Good luck man.
