I just called the credit union to get the payoff. She said $620.05 and I asked her if I can just pay it online. She said I can do it right now over the phone, so I said ok. It’s a done deal. They will send the title to be cleared which takes a week or so then they will mail it to me.

Now this weird!!! I just called my bike insurance company. I told Jene I wanted to cancel the policy, and she said it was already canceled. I told her it wasn’t because I am still getting statements in. She doesn’t understand because we talked for a long time right before I moved, and she said they won’t write policies in PA. I explained to her I received a new policy packet, and new insurance cards a few months ago with my new address on it.

She is going to send me a cancellation request form today. She was really shocked about this policy, and still doesn’t know what’s going on.

I have $300.00 cash I need to send out the check to be deposited today. 1/3 of that will be for the laptop payoff next week!! I can do it now, but I don’t want to drain the checking account to low.

    :dthumb:

  I would love to have a new Raven...but the wallet and insurance company just wouldn't agree.

Just paid off the bike....the 06's just came out. Coinsidence(sp)...I think not.
  Only if insurance wouldn't be so [email protected] high...I can do the payments, but I refuse to make a higher insurance payment than my bike payment a month.
I quoted a 03 YZF R1 at $741.00 a year
and a 04 YZF R6 at $500.00 a year.
The R6 is looking better every time I think about it.

They're called paint booths.
Yeah I know...that's what I did with the SV. It was red, then I got it custom painted marbleized blue.
I'd rather just buy what I want this time.

How you gonna buy a new bike now and get the 07 R1 that you want? You must make more than I do.
I am putting the 07 R1 on hold for right now. I think I will buy the 04 R6 for now (this winter) then decide rather I should sell it in 07 for the new R1, or just keep the R6.
I think this may be a wise choice to start with the R6, just to get the feel for a true sportbike. The SV was fast and kept up with stock R6's, but I know the feeling on the sattle will be totally different.
I turn 25 next October, so the insurance will be a little calm by then...I hope.

Your insurance will drop drastically. I claimed 3K right before I turned 25, then I turned and my insuranse went down $50 a month. you'll be very happy.
That's what I am hoping will happen. So for the next year I will stick with the R6. That quote isn't too bad at all.
My best friend pays $1200 a year on his 04 R6, and he is a year younger that me. I was quoted at $500 a year. He thinks my quote is bad, but I made sure it wasn't.

I got a quote for an 05 R1 w/ collision and theft and it only raised $15 a month. It made me want to get a loan that instant but I'm all set with the extra debt.
I am clearing all debt before I buy a new/used bike. I just paid off the SV this morning, next week is the laptop loan, then the credit card by the end of december. The only debt I won't pay off is the Loan on the truck at $17k..I have no intensions of clearing that one for a long while, but at $341 a month...that's not hurting anything
My rent just went down $30 a month, and my car/truck insurance just went down $20 a month, and the bike insurance is gone.

Trade the car in!!!
There is no way I am trading the car in. That is keeping my insurance cheaper getting the multi car discount. I would be dumb to get rid of a car that's 11 years old and paid off with almost 240,000 miles on it that still runs awesome! Plus it will now keep the miles down on the truck.
Here's some pics of it...
