that's the impression i get, they just bolt on over the stock pieces. sounds complex when you get to the rotor covers, gotta take the wheels off. othere than that pretty simple. saves us po' folks some $$ on chrome. so do ya think it's cheesy? i haven't quite decided yet.

Personally I would not want them. I'm not sure how much I like the look of a "Chromed" out bike.. Some can pull it off but if it's not real that just seems to me to be really 'gah'. I mean a little bit in certain areas or something but I definetely (personally) don't like the idea of covering my bike with 'fake' plastic chrome.. A little too cheesy for me.. If you can't do it right don't do it at all.. It's like those bright chrome "plastic" wheel rims for cars.. Or the extremely loud, but worthless and slow exhausts on foreign cars..
Just my :2cents:

Yeah its a cover especially molded for your bike. Made of plastic to look like the metal is chromed. Its actually a neat idea. $489 for the entire busa kit.... WAY cheaper than real chrome... I wonder what it looks like in real life?

:iagree: I'm not much on chromO bikes. I hope for the sake of the people spending the money on these covers get better fitment than most Carbon Fiber junk I have seen.

I like the smooth...

finish of the pieces, especially when installed on the bike ! I just wonder if the chrome finish will peel off the plastic like I have seen happen on other plastic/chrome parts ?

I'm sure it will eventually. Chrome wont stay on metal for ever.

well, you get a 2 year warranty, so i guess that means it won't peel off for at least 2 years. you know how it goes, nothing ever craps out until after the warranty is dead.
