...and I've enjoyed the majority of them. The only ones I didn't enjoy were the ones where I went riding on some of my favorite roads only to find the roads covered with enough sand that I thought I was at the beach. :cursin: Other than that (which has nothing to do with the bike itself), I love this bike and feel like I made a good choice. Sure it has it's minor issues, but they are issues that can be solved with a power commander and a bit of time in the saddle and suspension tweaking.

I'll be taking the bike to the track this weekend so I'll give you a full report after I get back. I had initially signed up for the beginner group with STT because I hadn't had the bike very long when I signed up and I wasn't used to it yet. Now I'm comfortable with the bike so I will probably try to move up to intermediate if they have room. I'll still ride beginner the first couple sessions of the first day, but hopefully I can move up fairly early. Of course, that depends on openings in the group.

Anyway, I'm glad to finally have 1000 miles on the 6. I thought I'd never reach that point the way weather was acting. :lol:

congrats now you need to start banging that needle off the limiter, now that is broken in nice an good.
i was soo happy once i got about 1k miles on my bike i jsut got it on the long straight road and smashe it open.

I think I really started hammering it around the 750 point. But now that it's at 1K, I have NO reservations/feelings of guilt for hammering on it. I wanted to have it at 1K before taking it to the track. Now I can ride hard all day at the track and not worry about warranty, etc. It's past 1K, so they can't say I hammered it too hard by taking it to the track. :D

Why would you bang it off the limiter? You are losing speed at that point - if you look at the dyno report the peak hp is around 12,5. When I went to the track this past weekend I hit 14k a couple of times but a quick shift fixed that - I was too busy thinking about setting up for the corner and late shifting.. But banging it off the limiter doesn't accomplish anything except losing momentum..

Cap'n - you will absolutely LOVE that bike at the track - that is what it is made for..
