well quite often ill shift from 1st to 2nd and the bike slips out of gear. and i go like wtf. so am i just not putting it in hard enough or what. that is the only time it does it

If it is stopping in neutral, you need to shift harder, or buy a stiffer spring kit...

My SV slipped out of 2nd when I was hard on it and in a high rev. It didn;t do it all the time but once in a while.

Blip the throttle as you shift and trigger the clutch. that should help 2nd fall into place a little easier. If that doesnt help, pressure the shifter before and as you do all that.

It might be the trany its self. If it has worn or broken teeth, it will pop out of gear.
