but it doesnt matter anyway cause the gixxer is faster than the honda.

Based on what? Your limited knowledge of bikes?:lol:
Once you become more seasoned with bike world. you will understand that sportrider is unreliable. Bias and they take kickbacks.

well....ive spoken to honda owners...and ive spoken to dealers (a lot of bike dealers are riders themselves as im sure you are aware)...ive spoken to suzuki owners...etc etc etc

ive ridden the honda and ive riden the gixxer....i personally feel that the gixxer is a better bike....it had better brakes, handling, and throttle response.

it doesnt take a rocket scientist to feel a difference between bikes....i may be a first time streetbike owner...but i know what to look for since ive been riding dirtbikes for almost 9 years now....im not saying that im a great rider...far from it...but i can tell the difference between machines right away.

i dont know what it is that you have against the gixxer 600....and im not being bias towards it because it own one....its not like its my last bike im gonna buy.....but i do think, and many people agree its one of the better 600s on the road.

I would say my Dodge is better than your what ever but you own a Dodge also. :lol:
My point is, the bikes today are so close. It takes true race pace and mods to know the difference other than the obvious seating and slight handling quirks.. In most cases (like my Duc vs. Gixxer dilemma) It comes down to rider preference and being comfortable on it.:2cents:

Man this tread went from racing to a 600 shootout...Facts are facts tho.
hahahah...true! it doesnt matter in the end though....rider preference will always prevail as with anything....for now i love this bike...a year from now i might be bored with it and go with the 750 or maybe a new breed (kawi possibly)....for now ill try and master this thing though....

but back to cars vs. bikes....all depends on the rider.

like i mentioned....i was in the vette when we took out an 04 zx-10.....the rider obviously couldnt give it 100%....so in the end....whomever is capable/willing to take a 1000 to its limits will more than likely prevail against most every car under the 800hp mark....but most average joes on 1000s on the streets may seem tough and wiz in and out of cars and go 100mph here and there....but most guyz on the streets arent going to race a car up to 180mph....only a select few will.

Well here's a little more piece of knowledge about Twisty... he rides a GSXR 1k on the street and also owns a GSXR 750 full race bike... so he's not bias towards Honda's! Just wanted to point it out!

My Z1000--- very slow for a 1000... ran 11.3 and i know guys with dead stock Z1000s running tens.. so yeah i think the gixxer 1000 would kill it at a stand still with the car running gas or not.


And Twisties 600 has major headwork.... that bike is probalby a 140RWHP 600... it would run any 1000 bike with basic bolt ons


Im gonna spray only a 20 shot this year on my Z1000 and lower the gearing... if i run over a 10.3 ill be dissapointed. Ive seen many FAR from street legal drag cars get BUTCHERED very badly by a busa with a wheel bar. we are talking 1000HP supercharged cars with wheelie bars and 20" slicks.

Roll ons are a cool way to win too... but i know i wouldnt race a car from a 80mph roll on.. its just not as safe for the biker as for the cager. Car vs bike on a race track is one thing... but in a acceleration contest anything other then a stand still run seems pointless.

a roll on measures a very limited amount of acceleration. now a full mile run would be fair to both the bike and car. a 700HP car would have a chance at running a 1000 even down if it was geared for the run as well as a tuned bike.
