I bought these First Gear leather pants from New Enough http://www.newenough.com/firstgear_flightline_pants_page.htm last summer and started using them last week. It's almost like asking a Scotsman what he wears under his kilt, but what do riders wear under their leathers?

The pants are lined with silk-like material, so I was going to just wear underwear. But I thought it would be too cold. I didn't want to buy any pantyhose, so I tried a pair of my bicycle-riding pants. They go down to the knee, are tight enough to keep everything together, they don't bunch up, and they are easier to put on then pantyhose (don't ask how I know this). The pants fit great, my legs stay warm (no :chill: ), and I look so studly in leather pants, I may wear them this summer :D .

hhmm..looking studly, pantyhose, leathers, spandex..sounds like a porno flick to me. sorry man couldnt resist..

but seriously, im looking at getting riding pants as well, so I'd be curious what is worn underneath them on a regular basis. I assume it depends somewhat on the temperature ur riding in, and also if the leathers are vented all with mesh as well.

Under armour is great. I use it for the track. I love it. It keeps your body feeling nice and tight when you bouncing off the pavement or dragging a knee. Just if your really over weight like real over weight buy it. There is no where to hide in the stuff. There also is cycle skins. It is the same concept but in a one piece suit. If you do a search on google you should find it. I use to where nothing(yeah the chicks were digging that) Then I went to bike shorts because Colin Edwards wears that so I tried that. I tried boxers and tee but I wipped out and got friction burn real bad.

DO NOT WEAT LOOSE CLOTHING UNDER YOU LEATHERS.... FRICTION BURN IS CAUSED BY THE LEATHER BEING ABLE TO MOVE WHILE YOU ARE SLIDING ON THE PAVEMENT.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU SUIT FITS TIGHT OR YOU WILL GET FRICTION BURN!!!

I just got my Spidi suit and I have wrecked in it about 5-or-6 times this years and I NEVER once got burnt. A little tight is better than little loose. The suit will stretch over time.
