2 wheels and about 3,000 # that's what.. Hey if you are dumb enough to ride without a lid then I say go for it moron.. It should be the rider's choice and let Darwin decide who to weed out.. Law or no law this mfr is going to wear a helmet.. My head and its contents are irreplaceable to me..Captain Morgan said:Well, I think you'll end up running into the same situation that smokers are starting to run into, which is higher insurance rates. Hell, some insurance companies already won't cover medical payments if the rider wasn't wearing a helmet. But yeah, if people don't want to wear helmets, that's their choice. I just feel sorry for the families they leave behind if they're die in an accident where the death would have been prevented by a helmet.
But let me ask you this: What's the difference between letting a guy decide NOT to wear a helmet vs. letting a guy decide NOT to wear a seatbelt in a car?
:withstupi That I totally agree with...[email protected] Them I could care less what others do ... I wear mine...double2000r6 said:Law or no law this mfr is going to wear a helmet.. My head and its contents are irreplaceable to me..
Oh, I agree completely. I wear my helmet because I care about myself and my family. But my point was they have seatbelt laws for cagers, but they don't seem to give a rat's a$$ about cyclists' safety. Seems the gubbment's viewpoint is "let em kill themselves".double2000r6 said:2 wheels and about 3,000 # that's what.. Hey if you are dumb enough to ride without a lid then I say go for it moron.. Very good points Bee - never thought of it that way.. Absolutely - if you choose to be a squid then you should be treated as one - like you said the ER doctor will see ALL others before you - even the kid with the cast on his arm that just needs it cut off..bumblebee said:Choices...If you don't have to wear a helmet...then the ER doctor can put you in the chairs and let you wait until he sees everyone else. Or, my tax dollars, or insurance dollars don't have to cover you when you get a head injury. Believe it or not...you DO have a constitutional right to be a stupid squid in this country. However, there are consequences for the choices you make.
I use seatbelts and wear helmets, I just think the Gov. should stay outa this stuff for adults . What's next ? Helmets for sking, riding horses , etc...... :here:Captain Morgan said:But let me ask you this: What's the difference between letting a guy decide NOT to wear a helmet vs. letting a guy decide NOT to wear a seatbelt in a car?
