I'd have to say it looks sharp. From that pic, you almost can't tell that it's 20 years old.

I've always liked Katana's but for some reason they are looked down upon by most sportbikers. My brother-in-law bought an old 92 Katana a few years ago. They thing is a little rough around the edges but it still get's up and goes. It has never broke down or left him stranded. I've always liked their full coverage cowls and fancy paint jobs.

Kats, being the original GSXR's..you'd think they'd get alittle more respect around the sportbike world..but eh, it doesnt bother me, to each his own I guess, even their opinion is wrong.. :D

I think the problem with the Katana is that they have been the "red headed stepchild" (no offense any of you read headed step children out there) of Suzuki since the GSXR was born. Therefore, you buy one today and you get a new 20 year old bike, but don't save that much money.

When I was looking for something in the 600CC range I looked at the new Kats and also the SV650. Pricing was awfully close and it was hard to ignore the updated features on the SV.

That said, that picture still does look good.

Kats are on of those bikes that everything well, but nothing spectacular..I've got one..and its got good mid range-top end power..off the start could be improved, but thats just the nature of the beast....I can still hit triple digits on the speedo in a matter of a few seconds..so I can live with that..plus its real comfortable, and as my old saying goes, I dont feel like a pretzel when i get finished riding for the day.

Very well said. :) I don't fell like one either after a ride but I do fell from time to time, depending on how close I sit to the tank, that I just crushed my nuts. Need to stay off the tank. With the Kat's, you dont have to worry about this as the tank rolls up more then the GSXR does. :D

:iagree: GSXR's are just a bit too un-comfortable for me. Great bike! Just a bit too aggresive stantce.

As far as the Katana way above....desent looking for a Katana is still a Katana. They are the like the cheapest sportbike style machine out...that's it! I say no more about it...don't want to hurt someones feelings...

I'll be a little byass(sp) and say that is a bad arse looking Kat. Cuz I am the proud owner of a '01 750. That paint job is one of the best i've seen.
