So i watched PINKS on Speed the other day. The first episode was between a Formula Firebird and a Z28. This was the second episode and it was an old GS 1100 vs a HD VROD. For those who arent familiar, the show pits 2 cars/bikes/whatever in 3 dragraces. They negociate lengths/ head starts, use of nitrous etc. The winner of 2 of 3 takes the others vehicle home with them, hence "pinks".
race 1- They race heads up and the VROD takes the GS by 4 bike lengths. GS rider says it was a bad start but accepts the loss.
race 2- They run heads up again and the GS takes the HD by 4 lengths.
race 3- HD rider says his clutch is overheated and wants time to let cool. GS man says no. HD asks for 3 lenghts then. They decide on 15 min to cool clutch and 1 length. They race and the GS takes the VROD in the last 100'.
Denoument- The GS man hops on his new VROD and the HD man trailers his empty trailer home. I say that GS was a sound investment. Stock for $3,000 mabye and won a near $20,000 bike with it. Boy was that guy pissed to lose his bike.
