This is probably stupid, but why does it have to match the blue? I met a guy on a yellow CBR 600. He was about 6-6 and wore one-piece yellow leathers and a yellow helmet. He looked like Big Bird when he got off the bike. All he needed was a tail and bird feet. Blue or green would have looked much better on him, or some other contrasting colors. My bike is red, white and blue, but I don't want to look like Capt. America. My helmet is maroon, jacket is red and black, and pants are black. Plus, on average most bikers only keep their bikes 2.7 years.

I never buy matching leathers... it's just not smart to me. I buy the black/gray/white models...that way if I wad up the bike and get a different color, the leather still matchs.... far more smarter!!! Besides, my current bike is burnt orange.... how do you think I'd fair finding leathers to match it!!

I have a matching coat to my bike - it is the official Yamaha leather in blue, white and grey.. Only problem I had with it when I bought it was it has an R1 patch and I ride an R6.. I bought the R6 patch but never switched it out.. There is nothing wrong with matching leathers to the bike - as long as it is not yellow or green then you look like big bird or some green atrocity..

I agree about not buying matching gear (except maybe helmet). Last year, I bought red/white/black leathers when I was riding a red/silver Katana. Of course, main reason I bought them was price. I found them for sale at the track for $225. They're AGVSport 2-piece with 360 degree zipper and they were marked down because of minor imperfections from manufacturer. They fit great and just happened to match my bike, so I bought them. Now, less than a year later, I have sold the red/silver Katana and own a blue R6 so I no longer have matching leathers. If I ever decide to buy new leathers, they'll be the black/grey ones so I don't have to worry about color again. As for the helmet, I just bought a new one to match the R6. I don't plan on buying a new bike for about 3 or more years, so that will be about time to buy a new helmet anyway.
