If it's the one with two 90 degree bends in it to make it really high ... looks cool, will make about 2 less HP than stock (at best, the same as stock). Exhaust gases don't like making two 90 degree turns.fozzie21 said:I just got a Micron high mount polished exhaust for my R6. What is everyones opinion on this exhaust. One of my friends told me to get it. I will be putting it on tomorrow.....
It's really just a bad design. It'll sound fine - it's a 2 inch baffle. It just restricts exhaust flow with those bends, which kills power. I'm really over-exaggerating ... it may make a couple more HP than stock, but it's not going make anything like a good system willfozzie21 said:yup thats the one. 2HP less, really? that sux.
when you refer to the header being squished do you mean right there by the engine it almost looks as if the pipes are pinched together? If it's the one with two 90 degree bends in it to make it really high ... looks cool, will make about 2 less HP than stock (at best, the same as stock). The only exhaust they make that actually works well is the serpent full system with the funky squished headers. That was one of the first full systems we dyno'd on a GSXR1000 that made a big power gain.
