Miller Motorsports Park is projected to open in late fall of 2005 and will be developed on approximately 500 acres of property at the Deseret Peak Complex in Tooele, Utah. The site is easily accessible from Interstate 80 and just 25 minutes west of the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Miller Motorsports Park will be based on safety, quality and convenience. It will include 20 acres of multi-use paddock, track rental, vehicle storage, catering, concessions, fuel, equipment rental, high performance driving school and kart track.

The high speed multi-character road course will be designed to meet all appropriate safety and operational standards as would be required by any North American sanctioning body. It is being designed by Alan Wilson, one of the world's leading track designers. The 4.5 mile main road course will be the longest in the U.S. It will consist of a 2.2 mile East Track, a 2.2 mile West Track, as well as a 3.06 perimeter course. In addition to providing a high quality track for amateurs to improve their driving skills, Miller Motorsports Park will host premier regional and national racing events.

The level of paddock accommodations and service amenities will be among the best in the U.S. for this level of facility. The Miller Motorsports Park is designed to provide some of the best viewing opportunities of any track in the U.S. It has both close-up and full view visibility from the major spectator areas. There will be stadium viewing from five primary spectator zones, or “oasis” areas, around the outside of the course. From these areas spectators will have a close view of significant overtaking/action areas as well as 95% to 100% sight of the entire course.

That place looks gorgeous. Watching the ama coverage last weekend it really looked good. After watching the entrance to turn 1 on the start (guys 5 wide) i think theres alot of good racing to come there. And i think its going to run Freddie Spencers school in the summer too. Hats off the Miller.

If I'm not mistaken... Mark Cuban (Owner of the Dallas Mavericks -- Which got their asses kicked by the MIAMI HEAT!!!) is the one who put the deal together, got the investors in on opening up the track... its a sweet track, very wide, very nice. I thought the track could use some more grass around the infield and outside part of it... but with time I'm sure they'll touch it up

commentary during the last ama weekend said they were growing wheat and barley. i guess theyre more durable than grass? i dunno. or mabye the guys were joking.
No joke. It can withstand the heat and cold better than grass. Pulse they have to have something to keep the dust down. It gets windy on those plains.

I expect to see some great racing on this track. I also expect to see a speed barker added to the 200mph straight.

I think its awesome and between Barber MSPand Miller MSP, i hope this is a continuing trend towards world class tracks being built in the US.

A local group out here is organizing a trackday there in September. $250 per day and it's the 4.5 mile course. Talking about renting trucks and going up there with a bunch of people. Granted it is an AMA track but there's one in Vegas for 180 that I'll proly hit up in later September. i might go pick up a 1-peice this weekend. An early anniversary gift from my girl.
