Ok, so I've got roughly 3k on these tires...they're the stock tires...and I'm curious as to how the tread looks to you guys. I'm thinking I can get another 500 to 1k off of them in current condition, but being my first bike I don't know. What are your guys' (or gals') opinions?

Looks like that tire has more tread than my brand new Powers do. I'm lucky to get 1500 miles out of a rear.
A buddy on a SV gets 7 to 8k on the Dunflops.

Run it till it gets a flat strip in the center or the tread groves get very shallow. :2cents:

You are fine and will get alot more than that out of those tires.. LIke Jeeps said...run it till it gets no tread in the middle, then it's time to replace!

I know a guy that got 8,000 from a diablo on his SV. Hp, weight, and mabye even the pulse of being a twin cylinder is kind to tires.
