Since I bought my bike my roommate's been :dool: about getting a bike and keeps asking my opinion about this bike and that bike... he asked the normal noob question... "what should I get?" then did the normal noob thing and ignored me... now his question is... "Which would be better for me... the new GSXR600 or the new R6?" :yikes: when I tell him he shouldnt be on anything bigger than a 500 unless it's the 650 twins... or is a5+ year old 600cc... but he's hell bent on getting me to agree with him... (NOT GONNA HAPPEN:bash: )

the thing is I asked him WHAT he wanted the bike for... a toy, comuting... ect... and he said commuting... and he wants the new 600's? :disapp: when I try to explain that EVEN an FZ6 would be better... he just doesn't like the looks of it... and the R6 and GSXR just feel soo much better... to him.... I was like... DUDE YOU'VE ONLY SAT ON THEM... TRY RIDING ONE...:bash: :bash: :bash:

sorry... had to vent:cursin:

tell him to look at a used GSXR 600 or R6 around a 03-04 range. he'll be all right. Ya know he will lay it down sooner or later. Besides when someone has their eye on something, they don't care what anyone else thinks.:2cents:

the thing is he bought a snowmachine at the start of the winter (for $10g's) and is now going to trade it in on the bike... the sled is a 800cc 2stroke... and he says that thing has alot of power... I can't imagine him on a bike... he keeps trying to get me to let him practice on my bike when the weather warms up... :wbs: :wbs: :wbs:

I told him last night... get what you want... and let me know when/where you ride... so I'm nowhere near you.

it's not really because he's new to riding that I don't want him starting on a 600... it's because the guy is just not coordinated... and doesn't have any self control. I'm convinced the only reason he wants the new bike is because it's "better" than the one I have... what ever:disapp:

thanks for the vent:lol: :dthumb:

If he is hell bent on getting a new bike to out due you, let him get one and don't tell him about sliders, so you can laugh your ass off when he lays it down and has that pretty bike scratched all to hell or worse.

Make sure he gets top of the line gear to go with it though. Don't want him hurt, just embarrassed.

well he's more intrested in the LOOK of everything... he likes the paint/decals that the KBC helmets have... and saw the jackets on that NEXX site I posted awhile back... and is pretty much hell bent on LOOKING like one of the characters from BIKER BOYZ

why do people ask your opinion when they already have their mind made up? seriously... at least PRETEND to listen to me:cursin: :flush:

I don't know. I guess that would be a good question for bulldog. Oh wait, he's not here anymore cause he got mad when we all told him he was a squid for doing the same thing your roomy is doing. Bull had a SV650 for ?7 months? and was "ready" for a busa. He's 16.

whats even funnier is he told me I could leave my bike with him over the summer and he'd take care of it for me... :rofl3: I seriously had to walk away from him I was laughing so damn hard... his expression was like...

Just let him do what he wants. your not gonna change anything, but just pray that nothing bad happens to him.

i've only been riding for 4yrs, and started out on an 02 F4i (never laided it down) and then upgraded to an 04 636 which is fine for me. i figure in about another year (next summer) i'll step up to a liter bike, or just buy another 600 and make it a track bike.

good luck with your friend the "poser"

Make sure you lock your bike up in a safe storage unit while you're gone. And put the keys in a safe deposit box so your roomy can't "borrow" your bike while you're away.

actually I'm leaving it in another friends garage... and they don't know each other... this guy has ridden for several years... and has a bike already... but no worry about him cruzing my bike... as he and his wife are pregnant with their first child so he won't be doing much riding...
